PROCEDUREAdministrative units that provide services (copying, telephone, etc.) to non-University groups can be reimbursed for such costs. All other rental income is generally retained in the Central Reserve after reimbursement to University units which incur costs related to the revenue. For example, the West Bank Union would be reimbursed for the cost of electricity for the ATM machine located in the Social Science Building (assigned to the West Bank Union). IMPORTANT: The issue of how best to distribute all earned business income was addressed in a recent report by the Brenner Committee and is currently being reviewed. The contents of this procedure will probably be changed as a result of that review. Other changes may occur as a result of the new Provost positions. The procedures for distributing income from rentals will be developed in the near future. |
